Artist Statement

As a graphic designer, I observe every object on street as examples of design. Design gives an inspiration to people and unify them as one. Every design starts with mind mapping and evolves from a single pencil.

I want people to remember my design as an enjoyment of life and I want to have that ability to represent  an excitement from my art piece.

Being an artist is not easy as it seemed to be. However,  I live with a lot of imaginable thoughts and choose whatever I want to create an art that does not exist in this world. I can pick any color, shape, material, format, media, and concept and that is the true beauty of art.

Biography

Jeong Kim was born on Feburary 16, 1982 in Seoul, Korea. When I was 5 years old, my mother sent me to a local drawing center and immediately grab my attention and since then, art has been in my life until now.

I came to the United States when I was 21 years and I pursued graphic design from Northern Virginia Community College.  I now became a student at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia to develop my art foundation in Graphic Design major.

I always challenge myself to enhance my Graphic Design skill as well as social skill with George Mason students. I am expecting my Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design in December, 2010.
